Meet Happy:
Who am I?
As a native South Carolinian who has spent most of her adult life in the coastal areas of South Carolina, I have a deep appreciation of the natural beauty and uniqueness of the area I call my home: sandy white beaches... pristine rivers... meandering creeks... wetlands... grassy marshes, all call to me to enjoy them, protect them, help them grow and prosper, and be involved in the community I love.

A little about my background:
I grew up in the upper part of the State in Spartanburg and the foothills of North Carolina. My father was a textile executive and my mother did not work outside our home. The values my parents instilled in me have shaped all aspects of my life: be honest, have initiative, serve God, strive to be the best you can be, be true to who you are, acquire knowledge, give back to the community and love what you do.   Growing up one of the most exhilarating experiences I had was riding with The Tryon Riding & Hunt Club!

Why real estate?
Because I love what I do! Litchfield and Pawleys Island have been my home since 1989. I love the area. I know the area. I am involved in the area.

My education:
Following my high school graduation from The Spence School in New York City, I attended Converse College in Spartanburg, SC. From Converse I went to The University of South Carolina and obtained a BA degree in Sociology. Later I returned to USC and completed a Masters Degree in Public Administration.

My interests and community involvements:
Aside from work, I like to spend time with family and friends walking, cooking, reading, enjoying music and the outdoors. I am a past Director of the Chamber of Commerce, as well as a graduate of its Leadership Program and a former member of the Rotary Club. I worship at All Saints Church where I am a Lay Eucharistic Minister. I have served on the Board of Directors of ARIEL, A Ministry of Proclamation on the board of my homeowner's association. Growing up I spent endless hours in a barn, showing hunters, and fox hunting with The Tryon Hounds. You may find this weird, but one of the best smells in the world to me is still fresh hay and straw and cleaned leather.   I support many local and regional charities to include the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association and foundations for people with disabilities and special needs.

Why am I the best Realtor for you?
I am not only a member of the Coastal Carolinas Association of REALTORs but also the Charleston-Trident Association of REALTORs. I am licensed as a Broker in South and North Carolina. 

In short, I can keep constant watch on a fast-paced market. Weekly print media advertisements, including special ads for new listings, as well as Internet advertisement for sellers I represent is a given.
