Meet Happy

I grew up in Spartanburg, SC and Tryon, NC and I have spent most of my adult life in the Low Country of SC. The values my parents instilled in me live on today: be honest; have initiative; strive for excellence; acquire knowledge; give to your community; and, serve God.

I graduated from The Spence School in NYC, attended Converse College and hold a BA and Masters Degree from the University of South Carolina. I enjoy the outdoors, cooking, decorating, music and being with my family and friends. Community involvements have included the Chamber of Commerce and its Leadership Program, Rotary, and lay ministries at my church.

Recently I was honored for my years of service to people with disabilities & special needs. Licensed in both NC and SC, I am a member of The Tryon Riding & Hunt Club and contribute annually to the Pacolet Area Conservancy.   I chair the Fair Housing Committee for our local board of realtors, serve on the Gillette Woods HOA, and was elected to be on the Town of Tryon's Planning & Zoning Board.
